Installing and updating your Phonebook

Please note that you must have PIPEX Dial 6.x installed on your PC prior to using the Phonebook Update software.

1. Download the Phonebook Update software, remembering where you have saved this file (- saving to your desktop is an easily located and accessible place to save the file).
2. Once downloaded, locate and open the (pipex_phonebook_updater.exe) file that you have just saved.
3. The DialTime Package Selector will now appear. Select the DialTime package that you have registered for and click OK.
4. Your PIPEX Dial Phonebook will now be updated, you will be informed when this has completed. You are now free to delete the downloaded (pipex_phonebook_updater.exe) Phonebook Update software from your system.

Using the DialTime update in your Phonebook

Important Information: Utilising an 0845, or any other non DialTime Access Telephone Number (e.g. because it was set as a 'back-up' telephone number within a Dial-up Connection), will result in call charges being levied, as appropriate, by BT.

1. Open the PIPEX Dial Connection Manager - accessible from either the Dial shortcut on your desktop or via:  Start - Programs - PIPEX Dial 6 - PIPEX Dial Connection.
2. Click the Properties button - this will open the PIPEX Dial 6.x Properties window.
3. Click the top ("Phone number") Phone Book button - this will open the Phone Book.
4. From the State or Province drop-down menu select the DialTime Package that you wish to connect to.
5. Select the appropriate Access Number and click OK
6. You have now successfully updated your PIPEX Dial 6.x Connection Manager Phone Book
